with Jade Henry
Town forward Jade Henry tells me her best football moment, what she does away from football and more.
How did you first get into the game?
I first got into the game as I was the only girl in my street and all the boys wanted to do when we played out was play football.
How long have you been at Ipswich?
I've been at Ipswich since I was 13 and went through the CoE with a few of the other girls.
What would you say are your best attributes as a player?
My best attribute as a player is probably my speed and that I can use both feet.
What has been your best football moment so far?
My best football moment so far is winning the County Cup at Portman Road with all my friends and family watching.
Do you have a role model/inspiration?
I don't really have a role model so maybe we should skip that one.
Who do you consider to be the best female footballer?
Best female footballer in my opinion is Danny Carter for Arsenal ladies, "quality player."
What are your ambitions in football?
My ambitions in football is to continue playing at the level I am, if an opportunity comes to play higher I would be very keen to take it.
What do you love most about football?
What I love most about football is that it's a good way to keep fit and socialise with a great bunch of girls at the same time.
What is your favourite thing to do away from football?
Favourite thing to do away from football is travelling, I'm always looking to leave the country at whatever opportunity I get.
Any advice for young girls looking to play football?
My advice for young girls looking to get into the game is to go for it! There's many stereotypes that come with women's football but when you enjoy playing and have ambitions to make it big you can definitely achieve that.
