What was your most memorable match?
Play off final for Huddersfield against Sheffield United (no better way to go up). Also Man of the Match on my Premier League debut against Chelsea at home we drew 0-0 with Marcus bent missing a penalty, that gave me belief that I could play at that level.
Who was the best player you played with and why ?
Pablo Counago, signed at the same time and we just clicked on and off the pitch (we were on the same wavelength) I didn't have to look I just knew where he was on the pitch and he knew where I was, a fantastic player especially with his back to goal.
Who was your toughest player and why?
I was fortunate to play against the top midfielders of the Premier League from the likes of Lampard, Gerrard, Scholes, Keane but the one that stands out was Patrick Viera, an absolute powerhouse who never stopped, box to box who scored goals but also protected his back 4-all arms and legs aswell you could get nowhere near him!
What was your favourite ground you played at and why?
Anfield a special place with it's history and tradition, the hairs on the back of your neck stand up when you walk out and the fans are all singing you'll never walk alone. I was also lucky enough to score at the Kop end which meant a lot
Who was the best manager you played under and why?
Joe Royle a fantastic manager who knew how to get the best out of you-he gave me a licence to get forward resulting in me getting the goals I did, him and Willie were a perfect matc, Joe very relaxed and Willie more serious and it worked very well.
What was your pre match routine? eg luck item, superstitions
I used to always do 3 headers when I ran onto the pitch and I always made sure my laces were the same length! (OCD)

I keep in touch with quite a few, Shefki, Pablo, Jim Magilton every now and again/John McGreal and Titus Bramble.
What are you currently doing within football or out?
I am currently coaching at Middlesbrough Academy with the under 14's, I enjoy the coaching but definitely not the computer work that goes with it! I am also at FC Halifax where I am helping out with the team as the manager was sacked recently.
If you could go back and do one thing differently, what would it be?
The season we came so close at Ipswich 2004/05 season, we should of got promoted and fell at the final hurdle, I'm sure the team would of stayed together and who knows what could of happened in the Premier League also at Huddersfield I would take that penalty again in the Play Off final and score! fortunately we won!
